The prompt

Make Snake in one HTML file. 18×18 board, walls are deadly, the snake speeds up as it eats. Every fifth apple spawns a golden apple that fades after six seconds and is worth more the sooner you reach it. Buffer quick turns so fast swipes don't get lost. Swipe and on-screen arrows for phones, arrow keys and WASD on a computer.

Claude wrote this game from a short brief like this one. It was then played, tested on phones and tuned before it went up here.

How to play

Steer the snake to the red apples. Each one makes you longer and a little faster.
Every fifth apple brings a golden one. Grab it before its ring runs out.
Hitting a wall or your own tail ends the game.
