Track groups and liberties, capture stones with no liberties, forbid suicide and simple ko, end on two passes and count by area scoring with 7 komi. Easy and Medium pick moves by heuristics (capture, escape atari, avoid self-atari); Hard runs Monte Carlo playouts on the best candidates within a time budget.

How to play

Take turns placing stones on the intersections. Black plays first.
A stone or group with no empty points next to it is captured.
You can't play where your stones would have no liberties, or immediately retake a single stone (ko).
When both players pass, stones plus surrounded empty points are counted. White gets 7 extra points (komi). Capture dead stones before passing: whatever is left on the board counts as alive.
